VERNE DOUGLAS TAKEN BY DEATH

Verne DOUGLAS, former Belvidere resident, died Monday in Bakersfield, Calif., after suffering a hearth attack, friends in Belvidere learned Friday.

Mr. DOUGLAS graduated from high school in Belvidere in 1913, and his father was a northside grocer. The family left Belvidere in about 1915.

He is survived by a brother, Veo, Oakland, Calif.
